Sal Maneen, an Emmy Award nominee, is a weekend sports anchor at NewsChannel 9. He also co-hosts “Orange Nation” with Steve Infanti every weekday from 12-2pm Eastern on ESPN Radio, and serves as co-host of the “Orange Nation” television program each week during the college football and basketball season.

Sal plays an important role in NewsChannel 9’s award-winning coverage of Syracuse University athletics, the local Central New York sports scene, and every “Friday Night Fever” in between.

A proud graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School for Public Communication at Syracuse University, Sal has been with NewsChannel 9 since 2007. Though he was born and raised in Houston, Texas, both his parents are originally from Utica – where much of his family still lives.

While studying at SU, Sal served as sports director of CitrusTV – the nation’s oldest and largest entirely student-run campus television station – and worked at both WAER-FM and Z89 radio.
