Pavone’s Pizza and Eatery Manager Avery Burke shares the recipe for their pear, prosciutto and arugula pizza with shaved parmesan.

Chopped garlic
Fresh sliced pears
Shaved parmesan 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees 

Mold crust by pressing center of dough, flip dough and repeat on other side

Sprinkle fresh chopped garlic, mozzarella cheese and shaved parmesan on dough

Place in oven for 10-12 minutes

Add toppings including pears, prosciutto, shaved parmesan and enjoy; no need to put it back into the oven

The Pavone family came to America from Linguaglossa, Sicily in the late 1950’s. The Pavones brought their recipes and their family to Central New York in 1971 and have remained in the area selling pizza ever since.

Pavone’s Pizza and Eatery Manager Avery Burke said the company was recently voted best pizza in Central New York by, and it is because of the fine ingredients used. Their menu includes Neapolitan, Sicilian, and specialty pizzas. They also serve appetizers, salads, sandwiches and calzones. 

Pavone's has locations around Syracuse and Central New York including Warren Street Downtown, Butternut Street on the North side, East Seneca Street in Manlius and on Bridge Street in East Syracuse.
