The Fight For a Future places New York State Senator John DeFrancisco against "Sugar" Ray Rinaldi in a charity boxing event to raise money for the Ray Rinaldi foundation.

Through his 57 years in boxing Ray was an amateur boxer with a record of 28-2. He was also a trainer and coach with the Army, Golden Gloves, Silver Gloves, Pan American Games, and US Championships.

Ray Rinaldi is a native of Central New York and has been involved in the community for over 25 years.

As a community leader Ray has helped thousands of local children find structure through the use of diverse athletics and education programs. His foundation helps fund the North and West Area Athletic and Education Centers where these programs take place.

The event is on April 26th at the holiday Inn in Liverpool, NY. It begins at 6:00 PM and includes dinner, a silent auction, exhibition fights and the main event fight between John DeFrancisco and "Sugar" Ray Rinaldi.

The fight will help raise money for Ray's foundation and the various programs his centers offer. Individual tickets are $75 and tickets for VIP sponsored tables are $1,100. For more information call (315) 471-8662.
