Champion dancer turned instructor Amy Markwardt has had a long history and love for Irish Dance. She began at 8 as a student of the Butler Academy in Syracuse. Today she owns and operates The McDonald School of Irish Dance with four locations throughout Central New York.
The school's mission is to provide students with a fun, healthy environment to develop their talent and love of Irish dance.
All dancers are given the opportunity to perform at community events as well as to compete in local and regional, national and world competitions as they qualify. The sport of Irish Dance offers a great outlet for building motor skills, physical fitness, coordination and team building.
