Giving kids with special needs a chance

Football season has just begun and one organization is giving kids of all abilities the opportunity to play.

The Mike Hart Family Foundation is working with Parks and Recreation Commissioner Lazarus Sims on their second annual program, offering flag football and cheerleading to kids of all ages with physical and developmental disabilities. The program is in its second year and is still looking for local community teams to come together to play against the CNY Challenger teams.

The program runs for eight weeks at the Burnet Park Sports Complex on Friday evenings from 6:30-8pm. To register call (315) 699-2222.
