Cooking with Basil Leaf

Pasta with Broccoli
  • 1 pound of your favorite pasta
  • 1 pound of broccoli florets
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 QT chicken stock
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • red pepper for heat
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • romano cheese
Preparation
In a sauce pan add oil, garlic, red pepper, and broccoli.  Cook garlic but do not brown. Add stock, tomato sauce, butter, and 1/8 cup of cheese.  Cook until the broccoli is tender.  Add cooked pasta and toss with cheese, then serve and enjoy!
