Sweet Indulgence: Cowboy Cookies Recipe

Cowboy Cookies


2c All-purpose flour

2c Oats

1tsp Baking powder

1/2tsp Salt

1c Butter, softened

3/4c Granulated Sugar

7/8c Dark brown sugar, packed

2 Large Eggs

1tsp Vanilla

1 1/2c Semi-sweet chocolate chips

1c Walnuts, chopped


1. Whisk the first 5 dry ingredients together and set them aside.

2. Cream butter and both sugars together until fluffy.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla until incorporated well.

4. Beat in the flour mixture just until combined

5. Add the “extras” IE: Chips, Nuts, M&M’s, etc.

6. Cover the dough and refrigerate the dough for 1 hour.

7. Preheat the oven to 350* and place your oven racks into the

center of the oven.

8. Line baking sheets with parchment paper

9. Form dough into 1/4c balls, place balls on baking sheet about 2

inches apart.

10. Flatten the balls into 3inch rounds

11. Bake for 22-25 minutes. Rotating half way through. Cookies

will be firm in the center and edges are golden brown.

12. Remove and cool.
