Youth Homeless Experience

Youth Homeless Experience

The local Girl Scouts will be holding an event to teach kids about the struggles of the homeless and to raise money.
The Youth Homeless Experience is an event which hopes to raise money to fight homelessness and also teach kids about the struggles of the less fortunate.

The event is being sponsored by the Girl Scouts, the Rescue Mission the Chapel House and the Pet Food Pantry.

Kids attending will be asked to bring a cardboard box and sleeping bag to the event. They will receive a homeless dinner and also participate in crafts and listen to guest speakers.

The organizers hope the event will build awareness about youth homelessness and teach kids important lessons in empathy.
