Furry Additions to the Wild Animal Park

Chittenango Zoo Debuts Baby Red Kangaroo & Jaguar

Debuting some more of his furry little friends again, Jeff Taylor is back from The Wild Animal Park! This time, he brought along a baby red kangaroo and a baby jaguar.

The jaguar is among one of seven species of big cats, all of which can be seen at the park this summer. With the new addition of the jaguars, as well as their cheetahs, the park is one of few zoos to be home to these big cats.

The Wild Animal Park prides itself on being more interactive than most zoos in the country. Guests can get up close with friendlier animals, like the red kangaroo. They can also feed many of the animals. Owner Jeff Taylor says the most popular interactive exhibit is the feeding of the giraffes.

Located in Chittenango, The Wild continues to grow since it opened its doors in 2011. Taylor made his dreams reality when he designed and built the habitats where the animals live. He continues to operate the zoo, and has dedicated the facility to his grandfather, Don.
