Victims of Violence Program Receives New Name & More Changes

The Victims of Violence Program from Chenango and Madison County has received a new name and it is now called, The Help Restore Hope Center.

Licensed master social worker, and clinical program supervisor Joanne Smith and Assistant Program Supervisor John Egger talk to TeNesha and Sistina about how they have changed more than just the name of the program. Smith and Egger have been receiving more honest responses from victims in the area and realized they wanted to make the message of the program more about hope. The services will be the same with counseling and short-term therapy, but they wish to move forward with more opportunities as they expand more into Madison and Chenango County.

Smith and Egger have been dealing with the rebranding for over a year and now can finally say they have a program with a more hopeful purpose along with new strategies.
