Dinosaurs may have gone extinct millions of years ago but they are they'll be alive in Central New York this weekend. Jurassic Quest is the largest animatronic traveling dinosaur exhibit in North America and spending the next three days at the New York State Fairgrounds. This exhibit is hands-on and interactive featuring baby dinosaurs, walking dinosaurs, and much more. Media Representative Nicole LaVene joins us with Trixie, the baby triceratops to tell us about all the fun.
Jurassic Quest is more than just fun and games though, although there is plenty of that. While you can absolutely enjoy riding a dinosaur, face painting, and fun bounce houses, there are also educational opportunities available. Each dinosaur has educational materials around it and there are guided tours offered. You can also make a stop at the fossil table to learn about the science behind what we know.
The exhibit begins today from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continues through the weekend with hours tomorrow from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Tickets and more information are available online. You can also purchase tickets at the door.
