New Artist Incubator Program

Eight Week Program At Schweinfurth Art Center

Have you ever thought about getting into art careers as you got older? Artist & Teacher Hetty Easter joins Bridge Street to talk about a new program at the Schweinfurth Art Center for upcoming artists. The Incubator Artist Program is and eight week series of classes for adults and students who have thought about going into a career in arts. It's an incredible experience for artists who want to expand their expertise using different mediums and techniques.

The first class focuses on fundamentals and each week is a different medium such as graphite, watercolors, ceramics, etc. In the fall there will also be another series of classes that will cover professional development. The topics for this will include portfolio preparation, framing and matting, etc. There will also be an exhibit for the students in this class to help show the progression in their work over the weeks.

Thanks to a grant from the NYS Council of Arts, it helps cover the cost of supplies to help with affordability. The Art Incubator Program is on Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm and it begins on February 2nd, 2017. The program will be at the Schweinfurth Art Center at 205 Genesee Street in Auburn, New York.
