Honoring Onondaga County Sheriff Gene Conway

Onondaga County Sheriff Gene Conway and 100 other fellow officers will take part in the Onondaga County Torch Run on Wednesday June, 7th. Law enforcement will carry the “flame of hope” on their way to the State Special Olympics hosted at Siena College.

 

As part of the Annual Torch Run the State Special Olympic Summer Games will honor Sheriff Conway as law enforcement Partner of the Year. Sheriff Conway has been an advocate supporter of Special Olympics New York athletes for 10 years.

 

Jordan Schachtler is an athlete and bronze medalist from this years World’s Winter Games.The games mean a lot to all athletes who participate and their families.

 

The  NYS Special Olympics Summer Games will be held on June 16th-18th in the Capital District.
