Redhouse's Production of Disney's "Beauty & the Beast"

A New Take on a Tale as Old as Time

Disney's "Beauty & the Beast" enjoyed a long run on the Broadway stage but is now being reimagined by local Redhouse Arts Center in a smaller venue. Director Patrick Burns discusses how the more intimate space for what is usually regarded as a large elaborate show actually helped them truly focus on the story in a way that may not be done otherwise. The love story is the heart of the show and something that can easily be overlooked by the flashy large production numbers.

Actor Temar Underwood plays the Beast and, while he wasn't familiar with the movie or show previously, he comments on how this fairy tale relates to all ages and is enjoyable whether you were a fan from childhood or if it's a brand new story. Temar also performs the vocally stunning Act 1 finale song "If I Can't Love Her".

If you'd like to check out Redhouse's production of Disney's "Beauty & the Beast", don't wait to get tickets as they are already almost sold out.
