Columnist Sean Kirst brings many of his most loved columns back to life in his new book from Syracuse University. Kirst discusses his new book The Soul of Central New York: Syracuse Stories, a collection of stories about the struggles and triumphs of the everyday men and women who define Syracuse.
Kirst is a longtime Upstate journalist, writer, and storyteller who spent nearly 25 years as a columnist for the Syracuse Post-Standard. He is also the author of The Ashes of Lou Gehrig and Other Baseball Essays, and co-author of Moonfixer: The Basketball Journey of Earl Lloyd.
