Wegmans Grilled Cracked Pepper Strip Steak

Directions:

Preheat grill on HIGH for 10 minutes.

Coat cleaned grill grate lightly with vegetable oil and sprinkle steaks with seasoning, pressing in on both sides.

Drizzle both sides lightly with 1 Tbsp basting oil.

Reduce heat to MED-HIGH.

Sear steaks 3-4 min until color changes one-quarter of way up from bottom.

Turn over; baste with 1 Tbsp basting oil. Sear 2-3 min.

Turn over; baste with remaining basting oil. Reduce heat to MED; close lid.Cook 8-10 min until steaks reach desired doneness (refer to temp charts for final internal temp).

Check by inserting thermometer halfway into thickest part of steak.

Transfer steaks to serving platter; let rest 5-10 minutes.
