Wegmans Tom Tom Shrimp

Wegmans Chef Paul Lane stopped by Bridge Street to show us how to make the perfect meatless meal for Ash Wednesday: Tom Tom Shrimp.


1/4 cup Food You Feel Good About Tom Tom Sauce

1 Tbsp Asian Classics Soy Sauce

1 Tbsp Wegmans Pure Olive Oil

1 pkg (5 oz) Sliced Shiitake Mushrooms, washed

1/2 sweet red pepper, cored, seeded, 1/4-inch dice (about 1/2 cup)

1 lb 31-40 count uncooked peeled & deveined shrimp

Salt and pepper to taste

4 green onions, trimmed, sliced

1/2 Tbsp Wegmans Garlic Cheese Finishing Butter

Juice of 1/2 lime (about 1 Tbsp)



Whisk together Tom Tom Sauce and soy sauce in small bowl; set aside.


Heat oil in stir-fry pan on MED-HIGH until oil faintly smokes. Add mushrooms and red peppers; cook, stirring, 3 min. Add shrimp; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, 2 min.


Add sauce mixture, green onions, and butter; toss to combine. Cook, stirring, about 1 min, until heated through. Transfer to serving dish; drizzle with lime juice.
