21st Annual Brew at the Zoo

Raising Funds While Raising a Glass at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo

It's been twenty-one years since the first Brew at the Zoo and the popular event continues to sell out each year. It allows animal lovers to raise some funds while raising a glass of beer, or wine! The unique after hours setting at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo also attracts many. Zoo Director Ted Fox has yet to miss a single Brew at the Zoo event and thanks the sponsors who have helped them over the years.

This year, there will be 50 tasting stations available to sample both beer and wine. The entire zoo is open for your viewing pleasure. An example of one of the animals one can see at the event is Nueve, a golden conure. She is a TV natural and waved to her adoring public. Animals such as Nueve are wonderful ambassadors for the zoo and money raised at Brew at the Zoo help fund the continuance of education programs she participates in. Funds also help support conservation efforts that the Zoo supports.

As of their Bridge Street appearance, there are still some tickets available for Brew at the Zoo. The event takes place on Friday, August 4th at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. The fun begins at 5:30 and wraps up at 8:00pm.  Tickets cost $55 if bought in advance, $50 each if bought in a group of 6+, and $65 at the door (if any are left). Tickets and more information can be found online at rosamondgiffordzoo.org.

Please note parking is limited so there will be a free shuttle bus available. It will from from the MOST in Armory Square to the Zoo every 15 minutes starting at 5:00pm. This is a wonderful option if you plan to continue the party downtown after the event.
