All of us have the same amount of hours in a day, but some people just seem to be so much more productive. Why is that you might ask? It has to do with planning and focus. DeClutter Coach Deb Cabral has five simple tips to help anyone become more productive and accomplish more in the limited 24 hours a day.

1. Set Daily Goals

Look at them every morning. Planning ahead and setting goals helps us focus our energy on the important things. Select your 3 daily most important tasks and make sure they get accomplished.

2. Learn To Say “NO”

If you say yes to every request, you are taking time away from the things that are most important to you.

3. Replace Multi-Tasking

Focus on one task, without distractions. When our brain races from task to task, we lose creativity, focus, and quality of work.

4. Go Off The Grid

No phone, social media, or internet. Go to a library or another quiet spot and read, think, plan, or write. A few hours of focus can produce tremendous results.

5. Be More Organized

When we are disorganized, we waste precious time and energy looking for things. Clutter can prevent us from being focused and creative.
