Businesses across Central New York are "turning it pink" during the month of October to help raise awareness and funds to support breast cancer research.
Jeanne St. Claire of the Carol M. Baldwin Research Fund of CNY is behind the campaign that got its start last year. It was created to help her mother, Beth Baldwin as she continues to help guide others who have battled and continue to battle the disease.
Meghan Murman is currently battling breast cancer and one of the first calls she made after being diagnosed was to the Carol M. Baldwin Research Fund. They have and continue to be instrumental in helping her both emotionally and physically.
Partnerships will be accepted throughout the month of October and businesses who wish to participate can do so by donating a percentage of their sales to the campaign. Citizens have also signed on to raise funds through their own personal efforts and goals, Jeanne said.
The goal for the campaign is fifty thousand dollars. The goal is a requirement for a research grant for Upstate Medical. For more information, visit http://http://findacurecny.org/wp/cause/turn-it-pink/
