Lorenzo Carriage Competition

Guests come in to promote the Lorenzo (Carriage) Competition at the Lorenzo State Historic Site in Cazenovia
The Lorenzo Carriage Competition is a driving competition that attracts competitors from across the northeast and Canada.  Competitors are judged for the overall symmetry that exists between them and their horses. This includes the fitness and appearance of the animal and the appropriate style of the carriage, harness, and driver attire.

This annual 2-day event will take place for the 37th consecutive year at the beautiful Lorenzo State Historic Site.  On lookers can enjoy this unique competition, where dressing up and large hats are encouraged!

Tours of the Lorenzo Mansion and Lorenzo Carriage Collection are offered during the day, as well as demonstrations given by young equestrain teams, silent auctions and miniature horses on display to fill the event during the day. Evening events include a Welcome Reception & Hats Off Gala, Saturday Night BBQ featuring a Bluegrass Band, and a Progessive Posh Picnic and Picnic Challenge.
