Blue-green algae closes Oneida Lake beach

The health department has ordered the David C. Webb Memorial Beach Park on Oneida Lake to be closed after the discovery of blue-green algae on Wednesday.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The health department has ordered the David C. Webb Memorial Beach Park on Oneida Lake to be closed after the discovery of blue-green algae on Wednesday.

The beach, which is located in the town of Constantia in Oswego County will remain closed until the blooms have cleared.

Blue-green algae can cause skin, eye irritation, vomiting and diarrhea.
