FDA Defends Safety of Baby Bottle Chemical

Federal health officials say no reason for consumers to avoid BPA products
Are plastic baby bottles safe or aren't they? The FDA says it sees no reason to tell consumers to stop using products such as baby bottles made with a controversial chemical. The agency is reviewing safety concerns about BPA but it says a large body of evidence shows that products such as liquid or food containers made with it are safe. There's a bill in the U.S. Senate to ban BPA in children's products. One of the sponsors is NY Senator Charles Schumer who says - parents always err on the side of caution when it comes to their kids health, we think the law should do the same.
