Harvard study says eating healthier only cost $1.50 extra per day

Some people may believe it is difficult or even impossible to stretch their grocery dollar enough to afford healthier options.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV/ABC News) - Some people may believe it is difficult or even impossible to stretch their grocery dollar enough to afford healthier options.

But Harvard researchers say that may not be the case.

Conventional wisdom suggests healthy foods are harder on the wallet, but researchers at Harvard say that isn’t necessarily true.

They looked at 27 studies to see the real cost of healthy eating and found the difference between nutritious foods and the not-so-good food boiled down to an average of just $1.50 per day.
