Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- An upper respiratory infection is “What’s Going Around” in Central New York.

Dr. Terasaka in Cicero says many patients say it starts with a sore throat, some complain of neck pain and they’re coughing. Allergies continue to cause suffering and some kids have crusting of the eyes and other develop sinusitis as a result of the congestion.

In Fulton, the Urgent Care is also seeing an upper respiratory infection in both children and adults, along with the cough, there’s an earache and sore throat going around. They’re also seeing strep throat and the first cases of poison ivy are showing up.

In Fayetteville, Living Proof Longevity says upper respiratory infections are at the top of the list, with a cough and fever and allergies are making people feel miserable.

Allergy symptoms are at the top of the list in Camillus. Dr. Rovall says there’s a virus going around with a fever and sore throat. She’s also seeing lots of pink eye.

In Pulaski, Dr. Carguello says sore throats are going around and he’s seeing lots of allergy sufferers.

And in Auburn, doctors are seeing allergies, sinus and ear infections and the stomach bug.
