Geddes (WSYR-TV) - The butter sculpture, which has become a popular annual tradition at the State Fair, was unveiled on Wednesday morning.

The theme of this year’s sculpture is “Getting Fresh With Local Dairy” and it features scenes from throughout New York State.

The sculpture incorporated elements of locally produced dairy foods, such as ice cream.

The sculpture features a cow dressed as the Statue of Liberty.

She is surrounded by various New York State landmarks – such as the Adirondacks and Niagara Falls – along with children.

Past sculptures have featured Santa Claus, the family milkman, and The Pride of New York.

The butter sculpture will be on display in the refrigerated glass case in the Dairy Products Building throughout the State Fair.
