Next month, voters will have an opportunity to determine whether the state will allow seven Las Vegas style casinos, with a portion of the gaming proceeds directed to local schools and tax relief.
Supporters also point to the thousands of jobs that the casinos would bring to the Catskills and the Southern Tier.
