Accused wallet thief arrested

Thanks to tips from our viewers, Syracuse Police say they’ve arrested a man accused of stealing a wallet from Rain Lounge on North Geddes Street last week.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Thanks to you, Syracuse Police say they’ve arrested a man accused of stealing a wallet from Rain Lounge on North Geddes Street last week.

Police say a tipster saw our photo of the suspect and was able to identify him as 27-year-old Clyde Gerbrick from Syracuse. When Gerbrick heard police were looking for him he turned himself in.

Gerbrick is charged with grand larceny and was issued an appearance ticket.


Wallet stolen at Rain Lounge; suspect sought

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Police are asking for your help finding a man they say walked into Rain Lounge on North Geddes Street just after 4 p.m. on Friday and stole a customer’s wallet.

Police have released surveillance video of the suspect in hopes of catching him.

Because the wallet contained several credit cards, police are calling it a case of grand larceny.

The suspect had dark hair and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Take a good look at the video. If you recognize the suspect, call police at 442-5222.
