Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- We’ve profiled this week’s fugitive before and now, police think he could be hiding out on Syracuse’s West Side.

Police are eager to get 20-year-old Frank Artis off the streets as quickly as possible. NewsChannel 9 viewers helped police track him down before, and they’re hoping our viewers will help them out again.

“We received a number of tips from viewers as to where he was and when we did catch up with him, he did run from officers,” said Sergeant John Savage, with the SPD Warrant Squad.

A month before flipping a stolen car in the 600 block of South Geddes Street in October 2011, police say Artis ripped off the Pawn King on West Genesee Street by stealing the store’s money bag.

“He’s just recklessly out there, stealing money and stealing cars,” Sgt. Savage said.

And not only that, he’s costing the city money and manpower.

Police hope residents in the 600 block of South Geddes recognize Artis and can tell them where he is.

Artis (pictured) is 5’9” tall and 150 pounds. If you know where he is, call the Syracuse Police Warrant Squad at 442-5230.
