Police: ‘Fugitive of the Week’ hiding from police after she fought woman and stole her cellphone

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police need your help finding our 'Fugitive of the Week' who is wanted for robbery.

Police say 23-year-old Allycia Blackshear knows officials are looking for her after she fought a woman on Catherine Street in Syracuse and stole her cellphone on Oct. 5.

Blackshear was with another woman at the time of the incident according to police.

“Blackshear began to strike this other, third female about the head and face with her fist and hands...then stole a cellphone from her,” said Sergeant John Savage with the Syracuse Police Department. “She's been eluding us to this point, staying [I'm assuming] with friends in the area. We do believe she is still in the Syracuse area and has not gone out of the area.”

Police say Blackshear has ties to the North Side and East Side of Syracuse.

Blackshear, who has a warrant for Robbery in the 2nd Degree, a Class C felony, is described by officials as:
  • African-American female
  • 5 foot-6 inches tall
  • 115 pounds
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes
