Police snag Fugitive of the Week after receiving NewsChannel 9 viewer tip

Syracuse Police say they located a woman wanted for multiple warrants after receiving a tip from a NewsChannel 9 viewer.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police say they located a woman wanted for multiple warrants after receiving a tip from a NewsChannel 9 viewer.

Police say when they arrested 25-year-old Shontae Cannon, she said she knew she was wanted after seeing herself featured as On The Lookout’s Fugitive of the Week.

Detectives with the United State's Marshals Syracuse Fugitive Task Force said Cannon has been arrested more than 20 times in the past and again while on probation.

Cannon was wanted for:
  • Assault in the 2nd Degree, a felony
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor
  • Violating Probation
  • Open Container, an infraction
Cannon had also been arrested earlier this past year for endangering the welfare of a child.

Cannon’s arrest makes it catch number 304 for On The Lookout.
