SPD Life Saving Award:(Presented by Chief of Police Frank Fowler)
Police Officer Keith Simmons
Awarded by the Chief of Police to an officer who performs an act of heroism, saving a life by necessary action.

PBA Merit Award: (Presented by PO Jeffrey Piedmonte-PBA President)
Detective Daniel Walsh, Police Officer Jenny Terrero
Awarded by the PBA President to an officers who distinguishes themselves by an act of heroism and/or meritorious achievement. The required standards, while of a  lesser degree than required for Slater or PBA Presidents award, must nevertheless be characterized with marked distinction.

Awarded by the PBA President to an officer who distinguish themselves by an act of heroism and/or meritorious achievement, characterized with marked distinction.

PBA Valor Award: (Presented by PO Jeffrey Piedmonte-PBA President)
Police Officer Jeremy Decker, Police Officer Shawn Hauck, Police Officer Gregory Staub
Awarded by the PBA President to an officer who distinguishes themselves by an act of heroism and/or meritorious achievement. The required standards, while of a lesser degree than required for Slater or PBA Presidents award, must nevertheless be characterized with marked distinction.

Meritorious Service Award: (Presented by Chief of Police Frank Fowler)
Detective Steve Kilburn, Detective Steve Stonecypher
Awarded by the Chief of Police to an officer who deserves recognition for an extremely laudable or extraordinary act. An example would be the arrest of a person who is a serious threat to the community, the skillful work that leads to the arrest of the criminal(s), tremendous efforts, the detective who steadfastly follows his leads, etc.

John C. Dillon Award: (Presented by the Chief of Police Frank Fowler)
Detective Richard Hargraves
Awarded by the Chief of Police to an officer who distinguishes themselves by meritorious service or achievement to the Department. The performance must be above & beyond the call of duty and as merit recognition for service, which is so exceptionally outstanding as to set the individual apart from fellow officers.

Timothy Laun Award: (Presented by Chief of Police Frank Fowler & Laun Family)
Lieutenant Richard Shoff
Awarded by the Chief of Police to an officer of rank whose leadership is above & beyond expectations of regular duties. Demonstrating outstanding contributions of exceptional operation & leadership Taking on more responsibilities and following through for the greater good of the department.

Wallie Howard Jr. Award:(Presented by the Chief of Police Frank Fowler)
Detective Mitchell Soule
Awarded by the Chief of Police to an officer who has performed & displayed bravery in the face of great risk to personal safety, extraordinary effort, intelligence, or excellence in the field of narcotics enforcement.

Distinguished Service Award: (Presented by Chief of Police Frank Fowler)
Police Officer Mark Vella
Awarded by the Chief of Police to an officer who performs an act of heroism in the face of personal injury & risk of life; outstanding gallantry, conspicuous action,  reacting in a manner as to bring great credit upon themselves or the community. The required performance, while of a lesser degree than that required for the Hendricks or Slater medals, must nevertheless have been performed with marked distinction.

Police Chief’s Achievement Award: (Presented by Chief of Police Frank Fowler)
Police Officer Andrew Quinn
Awarded by the Chief of Police to an officer who without regard to personal welfare, had a positive bearing on the outcome of an incident or incidents. The officer’s actions deserve recognition based on noteworthy, determined &  intelligent performance marked with distinction as relates to the Department.

PBA President’s Award: (Presented by PO Jeffrey Piedmonte-PBA President)
Police Officer Jason Wells
Awarded by the PBA President to an officer who, without regard to personal welfare, had a positive bearing on the outcome of an incident or incidents. The officer’s actions deserve recognition, based on noteworthy, determined & intelligent. Performance marked with distinction as relates to the department.

Post Standard Award: (Presented by Sean Kirst from the Post Standard)
Detective Kevin Birardi, Detective James O’Brien
Awarded by the Post Standard to an officer(s), who distinguish themselves by meritorious service or achievement to the department. The performance is above & beyond the call of duty & such as to merit recognition for service, which is so
exceptionally outstanding as to have set the individual apart from fellow officers.

Jerome P. Slater Award: (Presented by PO Jeffrey Piedmonte-PBA President)
Police Officer Brent Potts
Awarded by the PBA President to an officer who performs an act of personal bravery, characterized by resolute fearlessness, fortitude, endurance and self sacrifice above & beyond the call of duty. The act or acts of heroism must have been so notable as to involve risk of life and extraordinary as to set the individual apart from his or her fellow officer. This is the highest Police Benevolent Association award that can be bestowed upon a member of the Department.
