DeWitt Police trying to identify woman suspected of stealing credit cards, charging more than $3,800

DeWitt Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who they believe stole credit cards and then used them at multiple local retailers.
DeWitt (WSYR-TV) – DeWitt Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who they believe stole credit cards and then used them at multiple local retailers.

They say the suspect spent $3,833.67 on items at Walmart on Basile Row in the village of East Syracuse, Panera Bread Company on Erie Boulevard in the town of DeWitt, and Best Buy in the town of DeWitt.

Police say she could face a grand larceny charge – which is a class D felony.

A surveillance image obtained from one of the stores shows a black woman wearing a black and white checkered blazer and carrying a cross-body black purse.

The cards were stolen on Aug. 28.

Police did not indicate when the cards were used.
