Ithaca (WSYR-TV) – Ithaca Police have one man in custody and are looking for another suspected in an assault-and-robbery incident that took place in the city’s transient community popularly called “The Jungle.”

Police say that two suspects have attempted to use a credit card taken from the victim, Eric Maki – who was stabbed and slashed inside his tent during the robbery.

Maki’s injuries were severe enough that he had to be transported from the Cayuga Medical Center to a hospital in Syracuse for treatment. He is now in stable condition, police say.

According to police, Gary Delaney Jr. and Curtis Webb had Maki’s credit card.

Delaney was arrested on Tuesday on an unrelated charge, but police are still trying to find Webb.
