Rome (WSYR-TV) - Rome Police say they have arrested three men from Utica in connection to an armed robbery that took place in August at a Rome credit union.

Police say 20-year-old Shakeal Hendricks, 18-year-old Taiquan Howard and 54-year-old Robert Hendricks have been arrested for their roles in an armed robbery that occurred at the Access Federal Credit Union on South George Street in Rome on Aug. 19.

The three suspects were arraigned in Federal Court in Syracuse and are being held.

Police indicate that the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests could be possible.

According to police reports back in August, two men displayed handguns at the credit union in the afternoon and one of the suspects jumped over the counter and removed cash while the other two suspects kept customers at bay.

Rome Police had placed a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those wanted in the armed robbery.
