Police looking for suspects who assaulted 56-year-old woman

The Syracuse Police Department is asking the public for help after they say a woman was assaulted by a group of people.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse Police Department is asking the public for help after they say a woman was assaulted by a group of people.

Police say the incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 7 at about 2:00 a.m. on the 100 block of Neutral Court.

The 56-year-old woman told police she was walking northbound on Neutral Court when she was approached from behind by several people.

She then reported that she was struck in the head and knocked to the ground.

Police say the suspected assailants continued to strike her while she was on the ground before they finally ran away.

The victim received medical attention at St. Joseph’s Hospital where her injuries were determined to be non life threatening.

Detectives from Syracuse Police have been investigating the incident, but have not been able to identify the suspected assailants.
