Deputies say arrest made in connection to car thefts in the Ithaca area

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office says that a suspect has been arrested in connection to a number of larcenies in the immediate Ithaca area, including five thefts from cars in the town of Ulysses that occurred within a span of two days.

Ulysses (WSYR-TV) - The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office says that a suspect has been arrested in connection to a number of larcenies in the immediate Ithaca area, including five thefts from cars in the town of Ulysses that occurred within a span of two days.

Deputies arrested 21-year-old Jeffery Kohman of Ithaca after receiving tips from the public who saw surveillance footage through various media.

Kohman has been charged with Burglary and was arraigned in the Town of Ulysses Court and remanded on $5,000 cash or bond.

Ulysses (WSYR-TV) – The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a number of larcenies in the immediate Ithaca area, including five thefts from cars in the town of Ulysses that occurred within a span of two days.

In the town of Ulysses, the thefts were reported on Trumansburg Road, Kraft Road, Houghton Road, and Willow Creek Road.

The Sheriff’s Office is warning people to keep their valuable hidden within their cars and to remember to keep their doors locked at all times.

The Sheriff's Office says a suspect was caught on camera during one of the incidents and posted a YouTube clip to their Facebook page.
