Syracuse Police investigate 3 stabbings

Syracuse Police are investigating three stabbings that occurred in the early-morning hours in the city on Wednesday.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police are investigating three stabbings that occurred in the early-morning hours in the city on Wednesday.

Two of the incidents occurred on the city’s Near West Side, the third occurred on the North Side.

None of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police do not believe any of the incidents are related:

  • The first incident occurred at 1:15 a.m. at 745 Otisco St. The victim, Tiffany Hockeburn, was stabbed in the left hip and left knee. She was taken to Upstate University Hospital for treatment and has declined to cooperate with police. The suspect was described a black male in his 30s.
  • The second incident occurred at 2:15 a.m. in the 600 block of South Geddes Street. The 37-year-old victim, Casime Kelly, was stabbed in the back. Kelly has not cooperated with police and would not provide any information on the suspect. Kelly was taken to Upstate University Hospital.
  • This third victim was stabbed during a robbery attempt at 3:25 a.m. at the intersection of Park and John streets. The victim – Anthony Tucker – told police he was approached by a suspect he described as a black male in his 20s who is 5-foot-8 with a thin build and dark complexion. The suspect stabbed Tucker in the head when he refused to turn over his money. Tucker suffered a large cut on the head and was taken to Upstate University Hospital. The suspect was last seen running on Lodi Street toward Butternut.
