Syracuse Police investigate armed robbery at Family Dollar store

Police said the suspect hid in the store until after closing. Then, he robbed two employees.
SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Friday night at the Family Dollar store in the 200 block of South Geddes Street.

Police said the suspect hid in the store until after closing.

Then, he robbed two employees at about 9:15 p.m. with what is believed to be a handgun.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as a black male.  He was last seen wearing a black ski mask, black vest, black cargo pants and a red t-shirt.

The suspect ran from the scene in an unknown direction.

The employees were not injured.
