Syracuse Police investigate shooting

Police said the suspect fired two shots through a door, injuring a 62-year-old man.
SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are investigating a shooting at a home in the 1600 block of East Fayette Street Sunday night.

At about 8:15 p.m., police say the suspect knocked on the door of a 62-year-old man.

He did not answer the door because he did not know who was knocking.

Police said the suspect then fired two shots through the door.  The victim was hit in his left hand.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
