Baldwinsville (WSYR-TV) -- The clock is ticking for the owners of the Fireside Inn in Baldwinsville to pay their 2013 tax bill. The Cole family is in danger of becoming delinquent on three consecutive years of property and school taxes.

The deadline for this year’s taxes is January 31 and the bill for 2013 is nearly $38,000, add to that more than $42,000 in overdue taxes from 2012 and more than $48,000 from 2011. If the bills aren’t paid by January of next year, the property will be up for auction.

“The family is aware of the tax situation and plans to do everything possible so that doesn’t come to fruition,” Adam Cole told NewsChannel 9.

The Fireside Inn has been closed for nearly a year now. The owners say it’s been closed for renovations. They also say construction has been delayed by another project out of Watertown and they have not set a date to reopen.
