Glass fragments prompt ravioli recall

Nestle is recalling a food product after complaints that customers found glass fragments in it, according to Wegmans.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Nestle is recalling a food product after complaints that customers found glass fragments in it, according to Wegmans.

The Rochester-based grocery chain says the food company is recalling Lean Cuisine Culinary Collection Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli, 8.625 ounces.

The recall only applies to specific products with the UPC 13800-58358 with production codes 2311587812 or 2312587812 with the “best before” date of December 2013.

Wegmans says Nestle Prepared Foods Company ordered the recall after three customers found glass in the ravioli portion of the product.

The store is directing customers to contact Nestle for more information by calling 1-866-586-9424 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. or emailing leancuisine@casupport.com.
