Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women. That’s why Field of Pink is raising awareness and money to help fight it this month.
If you drive down Route 5 in Fayetteville it’ll be hard to miss the 8,000 bright pink flags covering the lawn at the Maple Downs Senior Living Facility.
The Field of Pink project is growing every year. This October, they have three times more flags than last year.
While it raises awareness, the project is also raising funds as people can donate money and purchase flags.
Some of the flags have the names of loved ones and people who have been impacted by breast cancer.
For more information on the Field of Pink project or to donate, call (315) 637-0297.
