Study: Men who sit more outside of workplace more likely to develop heart failure

If you sit at a desk all day, new research suggests you may not want to spend your free time sitting too.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV/ABC News) - If you sit at a desk all day, new research suggests you may not want to spend your free time sitting too.

A new study from Kaiser Permanente says how much time you spend sitting during the hours outside of the workplace could have big consequences for your heart.

Researchers found men who spent more time sitting while away from work were 52 percent more likely to develop heart failure over the next 8 years.

The researchers say exercising is great, but even standing up and walking around a little every hour or so can help.
