2 men charged with shooting cats in Seneca County

Two Seneca County men are facing animal cruelty charges for shooting cats, according to Sheriff’s Investigators.
Waterloo (WSYR-TV) – Two Seneca County men are facing animal cruelty charges for shooting cats, according to Sheriff’s Investigators.

The Sheriff’s Office says Robert Lyman of Interlaken and Jeremiah Randall of Ovid, both 26, killed two cats using a rifle on County Road 129 in the town of Ovid.

In addition to animal cruelty, they were charged under environmental conservation law for discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

They were issued appearance tickets.
