6-year-old injured in Lysander crash

A 6-year-old child was trapped and had to be pulled out of a vehicle following a two-car crash in the town of Lysander on Wednesday.
Lysander (WSYR-TV) – A 6-year-old child was trapped and had to be pulled out of a vehicle following a two-car crash in the town of Lysander on Wednesday.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Church Road and East Mud Lake Road.

According to Sheriff's Investigators, Tory Roberts, 25, of Liverpool, stopped at a two-way stop sign, but proceeded through without noticing a minivan.

They say Roberts' vehicle struck the side of the minivan, causing it to flip over, trapping the 6-year-old child inside.

The child was in her booster seat at the time of the accident.

She was taken to Upstate University Hospital after being pulled out of the vehicle with a leg injury.

Roberts was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way.
