$61 million to be donated to victims of Boston Marathon bombings

The money will be split up among 232-eligible claimants.
Boston (WSYR-TV/CNN) - The victims of the Boston Marathon bombings will split a multi-million dollar compensation fund.

The 232-eligible claimants of the One Fund Boston will split $61 million.

The non-profit was created to benefit the victims.

In a release, the fund said payments will be issued beginning June 30 and represent 100% of all the money that was collected by the fund through June 26.

To be considered for payment, those injured had to file claims.

While it was not specified in the release, failure to do so could explain why about 30 of those injured are not included among the claimants.

The bombings near the finish like of the Boston Marathon on April 15 killed three people and injured more than 260 others.
