Ithaca (WSYR-TV) - An Ithaca man accused of three burglaries kept police busy overnight.
The first call for help came into the 911 center just after 3:00 a.m., from Thurston Avenue. The caller noticed someone trying to get into their apartment through a window.
As the man ran away, the caller was able to get a description to share with police.
Soon, police were sent to Wyckoff Avenue, where the caller was hiding in a room, but could hear someone in the house coming toward their room.
The officer who arrived noticed 21 year old Byung Jun Lee, of Ithaca, inside the home. Lee ran away, but didn't get far before officers caught him a block away.
Minutes later, police were told about another case on Thurston Avenue. A woman claimed she woke up to find a man next to her bed. She says the man reached under the blankets to touch her foot, then ran away when he was confronted.
Police suspect Lee was involved with all three cases. He's been charged with three counts of Burglary, criminal mischief, and Obstructing.
Lee was held on $5,000 bail, awaiting his next court appearance on Tuesday.
