The New York State Court of Appeals has upheld a decision barring former Onondaga County Family Court Judge Bryan Hedges from ever holding his position again.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The New York State Court of Appeals has upheld a decision barring former Onondaga County Family Court Judge Bryan Hedges from ever holding his position again.

Hedges, who resigned in April 2012, is accused of sexually abusing his 5-year-old niece in 1972.

The alleged incident occurred 13 years before he became a judge.

Last August, however, the Commission on Judicial Conduct called the allegations egregious enough to order his removal from the bench.

Hedges has denied the accusations.
