Large crowd for annual Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade

The Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade made its way down Salina Street on Saturday.
SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - The Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade made its way down Salina Street on Saturday.

Thousands of people lined the streets to watch the floats, bagpipe bands and other entertainment that makes up the 2nd largest St. Patrick’s parade in the northeast after the one in New York City.

The Syracuse parade was held two weeks earlier so SU fans wouldn’t have to choose between attending the parade or watching the Big East Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The St. Patrick’s Parade aired live on NewsChannel 9. If you missed it, the parade will re-air at 8 p.m. Saturday on NewsChannel 9.

It will replay again at 3 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, which is March 17th, on our digital channel 9.2.
